From 19 to 22 September, the seventh edition of Abierto València, an event organised by LaVAC, will take place on the occasion of the joint inauguration of the beginning of the artistic season of the contemporary art galleries that form part of the Association.
On Friday 20th, with a special timetable and accompanied by a Turia beer offered by each gallery, the people who visit us will be able to enjoy all the openings free of charge, as well as to contemplate the great number of works by national and international artists that are shown at Abierto València.
On the same day, the Best Exhibition Prize will be announced, awarded by the Conselleria d’Educació, Investigació, Cultura i Esport and the Outstanding Artist Prize, awarded by the City Council of Valencia. Selected by the jury convened for the 7th edition of “Abierto València”: CA2M Subdirector, Tania Pardo; the Director of the CCCC, José Luis Pérez Pont; Julia Ramón Carbonell, deputy director of cultural activities and programmes IVAM, Valencian Institute of Modern Art; and the Director of the CAB of Burgos, Javier del Campo; we will also announce the Acquisition Awards.
On Friday 20 and Saturday 21 September will take place the “Arco Gallery Walk” to learn the history of the galleries and their artists. Sponsored by the Arco Foundation.
With each edition, Abierto València aims to become an unavoidable event that attracts collectors, art lovers, artists, experts, critics but also aims to make its name known through the approach of contemporary art in an open and simple way to the Valencian public in general.
