Valencian Public Universities and Cañada Blanch Collections

“Col·leccions Universitats Públiques i Cañada Blanch” is the evolution of the “Premi Col·lecció Cañada Blanch”, an award that we have been promoting for 10 years together with the University of Valencia, the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Association of Art Galleries. Contemporary of the Valencian Community (LAVAC), with the aim of supporting the production and dissemination of the work of artists who work in the Valencian context and the art galleries that represent them.

Thanks to the collaboration agreement signed in 2024 between Fundación Cañada Blanch, the Universitat de València and the Universitat Politècnica de València, this initiative takes on a greater dimension, in which both universities also acquire work worth €10,000.

Who is it addressed to?

To the galleries that are part of the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of the Valencian Community (LAVAC) and their artists.

Who forms the jury?

Members of the Cañada Blanch Foundation, the University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University of Valencia, as well as professionals from the art world.

 Where to visit the exhibition?

In the La Nau Cultural Center of the Universitat de València and, from 2024, also in a second space within the Universitat Politècnica de València. Both free and open access.

Who organizes the award?

The exhibition is organized by the Cañada Blanch Foundation, the University of Valencia, the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of the Valencian Community (LAVAC).
