The Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of the Valencian Community (LAVAC) opens the art exhibitions season with the celebration of the twelfth edition of ABIERTO VALENCIA. One of the most significant art and cultural events in the Valencia Community.
ABIERTO VALENCIA 2024 takes place from 26 September to 4 October. It will include its traditional opening, guided tours, a round table, and, after last year’s fantastic experience, a group exhibition at Centre del Carme, bringing together a selection of artists from all galleries members of LAVAC.
We want to express our most sincere gratitude to our sponsors and collaborators. Their continuous support to the galleries, the artists, and the art have facilitated the growth and solidification of the Valencian art ecosystem.
Again this year, Generalitat will acquire exhibited work from the “Best Exhibition” and Valencia City Council from the “Outstanding Artist”. These will be chosen by a professional jury. Further acquisitions will be made by private collectors including the Hortensia Herrero Foundation and the Víctor Gamero Collection.
For the fifth consecutive year in ABIERTO VALENCIA, Cervezas Alhambra will host the Cervezas Alhambra Award, in recognition and promotion of the artwork of emerging talents and the effort their galleries do to bring contemporary art to the wider public. The award will be selected by online popular vote.
