12:30h Breve historia de una pasión – Avelino Marín Collection – CCCC
Since the 7th of September

As part of Abierto València, this activity offers an exceptional opportunity to explore two outstanding projects connected to collecting and contemporary art in Valencia through guided visits led by the people behind them.
The programme begins at the José Luis Soler Collection, housed at the Centro Cultural Bombas Gens, where Susana Lloret will guide visitors through the exhibition “Mnemosyne. Derivas y fragmentos en la producción de memoria” winner of the José Luis Soler Curatorial Award, as well as selected works from the collection itself. This is a unique opportunity to access a space that is normally closed to the public and to discover one of the most significant private contemporary art collections in the Valencian Community. The activity will then continue at the Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània (CCCC), where participants will visit the exhibition “Breve historia de una pasión”, dedicated to the Avelino Marín Collection. The tour will be led by the exhibition’s curator, Joan Peiró, together with Avelino Marín himself, who will share insights into the collection and his journey as a collector.
This two-part programme invites visitors to discover two distinct approaches to contemporary art collecting while encouraging dialogue between artists, collectors and cultural institutions as part of the Abierto València programme.
